Most people who purchase a book of this nature know what a calorie is. I don't doubt that the author has knowledge on the topic, but I was underwhelmed and also bored to read a fitness dictionary for two chapters. For this reason, I don't recommend it and I wonder how much of it was truly intended for this edition and not just an afterthought or slapped together to make a few extra bucks. I appreciated some of the content, but was turned off and felt cheated as if the book was just given a new cover with little else changed, so the team can further capitalize on their success with the first book about building a masculine physique. I'm insulted that such a minor elements would be overlooked by the author or editor, or narrator. At the very least the author or editor should edit the pronouns in certain chapters from he to she appropriately. While I understand that many aspects of diet and fitness are the same for both male and female, this book is supposed to be specifically for women, but the content proves otherwise. I suspect this is just rehashed content from the masculine counterpart of this author's other book. "Quickly dye that jockstrap pink! They won't notice" Just buy it if you're feeling lost and don't know where to begin. I love it and it will always be used as a reference to me. Today I know much more than I did as week ago, thanks to this book. This book gave me the motivation to leave poor excuses behind and grab the barbells in beast mode. One sentence to finish this review: This book is COMPLETELY AWESOME.
